My name is Meana Ward and I am a Certified Classroom Instructor, Personal Tax Expert, Project Management Professional (PMP) and Certified Scrum Master (CSM).  In 2013, I left the east coast and moved to the Midwest with my mother to care for my grandmother, who had been placed in hospice care.  When I moved, I thought I would be there for six months, maybe a year.  When my grandmother passed, she had been kicked out of hospice for two years.  While living there, I worked sporadically or part-time and had incurred a significant amount of debt because I had been using my credit card to pay all of my expenses. It seemed like I owed everyone.  I even had a State tax lien. At this point, I had to accept a full-time job that paid significantly less than my normal income. I had never been working and this financially strapped in my life.  That is when I realized that my bag (money) was the boss.  It was in complete control.  It made all of the decisions.  It controlled everything, including where I could and couldn’t live, what I could and couldn’t eat, buy and go.  So, I decided to take back the boss status and go back to the debt free lifestyle that I had before becoming a care giver. I eliminated all of my debt and worked to raise my credit score.
